Canadian professional skater Colin Ratushniak joins the cast of Celebrities on Ice

PRO skating favourite and Canadian crowd-pleaser Colin Ratushniak is the latest star name to join the cast of Celebrities on Ice.

Former ice hockey player-turned-skater, Colin has been a regular on TV’s Dancing on Ice in recent years, as well as touring the UK and around the world in various professional shows – including Disney on Ice and Skating on Broadway.

Colin returns to Peterborough Arena in January (having been part of last year’s Holiday On Ice tour) for the highly anticipated Celebrities on Ice show.

Having competed competitively, pairs skater Colin is now well known on the touring circuit, and will be joining celebrities Chico, Kyran Bracken, Ray Quinn and Steps star Lisa Scott-Lee for the family ice skating and dancing spectacular.

The show also features the Russian Ice Stars and will be hosted by Christopher Biggins.

Colin – who is currently working overseas – says he is thrilled to be part of the show and to be back in Peterborough to wow local and regional fans.

He said: “I was absolutely delighted to be asked to join this fun and energetic show – and to be back at one of the best venues in the Eastern region.

“The crowds in this part of the world are amazing and I’m really looking forward to joining some of my Dancing on Ice pals for what is going to be a fantastic show.”

Celebrities on Ice – supported by Heart FM and sponsored by the Anglia Co-operative – runs at the East of England Showground venue from 25 – 27 January 2013.

The Arena offers us a central location with ample free parking and good on site facilities that can cater for indoor / outdoor use. Recent improvements in terms of infrastructure and services should make it a first choice locally to hold an event whether large or small.
