Public Shows

Peterborough Arena’s central UK location, its excellent road and rail links, and its 173,000 local population mass, makes it an attractive venue for show promoters and public event organisers.

Attracting close to a million visitors each year, when it comes to public shows there is certainly something for everyone at the venue.

For lovers of fast cars, big bikes, model railways, motorhomes and terrific trucks – there are a range of established vehicle related shows (including Truckfest, BMF, Modified Nationals) which offer demonstrations, celebrity guest appearances and an abundance of retail and shopping opportunities.

Visitors can search for a bargain at our antiques festivals and branded clothing sales, while there is an opportunity to relax and take in the atmosphere at our range of outdoor summer shows.

We have been thrilled to continue to host a number of ice shows – including Robin Cousin’s spectacular Holiday on Ice show, the very entertaining Celebrities on Ice and the incredible Russian Ice Star in Peter Pan on Ice.

Here’s a video of how the exhibition hall is transformed into an ice arena.

We have hosted sporting events and we are also home to some of the UK’s leading agricultural shows.

Our main indoor hall can seat 5,000 people or 6,000 standing while outside, the 2,100-seated Grandstand looks out over a central arena and is flanked by grassy banks for additional seating.

The options for indoor and outdoor public shows are endless. And many of our show organisers choose to use both!

The Peterborough Arena continues to grow, and we have also become the established home for the region’s largest annual firework display – Firework Fiesta, which moved here in 2012.

We have used Peterborough Arena for our national conference for a number of seasons and the venue provides a fantastic facility for the conference. This years’ appearance from Adam Henson was a great success and provided farmers with an insight into how they can get more involved in promoting the positive aspects of what they do on their farm – especially the home-grown sugar industry!
