Local information

One of the key reasons event organisers and show promoters choose Peterborough Arena is for its great location, good access, and range of facilities available within the city of Peterborough that sits virtually on the doorstep.

The city has a growing population of approximately 173,000 and prides itself on its ‘green’ credentials. It is currently working towards environment capital status and has its own Millennium Green Wheel – a 50-mile network of cycleways, footpaths and bridle ways.

Peterborough has a wealth of leisure and sports facilities. It is home to Championship Football League team Peterborough United, Premier League ice hockey squad Peterborough Phantoms, and Premier League speedway stars, Peterborough Panthers, who just happen to race at our Peterborough Arena.

The city’s heritage is also a major visitor attraction – the Cathedral boasts one of the last surviving painted ceilings from the Middle Ages; the renowned Flag Fen Bronze Age Centre welcomes thousands of people every year, many from overseas; while the steam railway, featured in the Bond movies, links the city centre with Peterborough’s extensive country parks. To support the city’s flourishing tourism, there are a wide range of hotels and bed and breakfast facilities. For details on where to stay click here.

Thank you for the effort you put in to make this evening the success that it turned out to be. Staff were friendly, they all new their job, and the food was great – what more can you ask?
